Updated: May 9, 2022

The European Society of Applied Biocatalysis (ESAB) is organising a Digital Lecture on “Synthetic Biology and Metabolic Engineering Tools & Methodologies” on Friday, 22nd October 2021 at 16:00 – 18:00 CET.

The keynote speakers of the event include:

  • Prof. Dr. Vassily Hatzimanikatis, Laboratory of Computational Systems Biotechnology, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland

  • Prof. Dr. Tobias Erb, Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology, Marburg & LOEWE Center for Synthetic Microbiology (SYNMIKRO), Philipps University of Marburg, Germany

  • Prof. Dr. Sven Panke, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich), D-BSSE & Molecular Systems Engineering, National Competence Center in Research (NCCR), Basel, Switzerland

  • Prof. Dr. Benjamin Woolston, Chemical Engineering, Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA

The event is being coordinated by our General Director, Frangiskos Kolisis, from the School of Chemical Engineering (National Technical University of Athens) and Roland Wohlgemuth, chair of ESBA (Lodz University of Technology).

About ESAB

The mission of ESAB is to promote the development of Applied Biocatalysis throughout Europe. Applied Biocatalysis is the development through science and engineering of useful biological catalysts and their commercial applications. ESAB, aims to take initiatives in areas of growing scientific and industrial interest and importance in the field of applied biocatalysis as well as identify key topics which may be rate-limiting in the development of scientific progress and technological prospects in applied biocatalysis and to take steps to stimulate these areas.
