Theodora Choli-Papadopoulou

Professor, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

The Laboratory of Biochemistry is one of the founding laboratories of the Chemistry Department that was involved in the successful creation of the Interdisciplinary Intersectional Master of Sciences Program Nano-sciences and Nano-Technologies. Prof. T. Choli-Papadopoulou has developed a high degree of interdisciplinary research collaborating with numerous foreign and national researchers for bio-functionalization of scaffolds/surfaces and nano-devices mimicking protein synthesis at nano scale. Her research is focused on the nano-technological approach of emerging scientific problems in the field of synthetic biology, biomaterials, bio-nano-functionalization of thin layers, scaffolds and other implantable materials.  She published more than 150 papers in international journals and conference proceedings (H index -19).

She supervised 110 PhDs, master thesis and bachelor thesis students (10, 40 and 60, respectively). She has given more than 40 scientific talks nationally and internationally, as invited speaker, and she was organizer, co-organizer and member in scientific advisor committees for a number of national and international conferences.
